Our services: bridging communication gaps
How we make a difference
At Our Voice Cameroon, we are dedicated to creating a more inclusive society through vital services that empower deaf individuals and promote understanding.
Communication access
We provide professional sign language interpretation and communication support for events, training sessions, and public services. Deaf persons gain equitable access to information, services, and opportunities, enabling independent and confident participation in society.
Awareness & capacity building
We conduct disability inclusion training, sign language awareness programmes, and community sensitisation campaigns. Communities, institutions, and service providers become more inclusive, reducing barriers, stigma, and discrimination faced by deaf persons.
Advocacy & policy engagement
Our advocacy efforts focus on the recognition and promotion of Cameroonian Sign Language, along with promoting the rights and inclusion of deaf persons. Policies, systems, and public services become more accessible and responsive, creating lasting change for inclusion and equality.
Partnerships & community development
We collaborate with deaf-led organisations and community groups to strengthen leadership and participation within the deaf community. This ensures deaf persons have a stronger voice in decisions that affect their lives, leading to more sustainable and impactful change.
Who benefits from our services?
- Deaf children, youth, and adults.
- Families, schools, healthcare providers, public institutions, and community organisations to create environments where deaf persons can fully participate and thrive.
